The hammer has come down at one of the biggest collector car auctions on the planet, Barrett-Jackson<\/a> in Scottsdale, Arizona. And depending on whom you talk to, muscle car prices are not dropping anytime soon. With 340, 440 and HEMI\u00ae<\/sup>-powered Dodge rides taking center stage at this year’s event, everyone from hardcore collectors and investors to just regular folk who like to window shop and dream still has Dodge Fever on their minds. Vintage Challengers, Chargers, Darts and Super Bees blazoned in wild colors and flowing stripes continue to command premium prices. The market is also shifting to some of the go-fast hardware Dodge has made during the last 10-20 years, including Vipers and the Challenger SRT\u00ae<\/sup> Demon,<\/a> as enthusiasts try to predict future collectable trends and get in while the getting is good and prices are soft.<\/p>\n

From this year’s Barrett-Jackson, here’s a sampling of how some of our iconic nameplates did when the hammer fell and the auctioneer yelled “sold”.
