For Pawuk, the victory was sweet and well-earned as he and fellow DSR Drag Pak pilot Leah Pritchett have spent hours on the dyno and at the drag strip testing their combination and extracting as much horsepower as possible from their 354-cubic-inch supercharged HEMI<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> engine that makes well over 1,000 horsepower.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19089 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news-api\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/NMCA-All-American-Recap_IMG002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1037\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/NMCA-All-American-Recap_IMG002.jpg 1037w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/NMCA-All-American-Recap_IMG002-614x296.jpg 614w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/NMCA-All-American-Recap_IMG002-768x370.jpg 768w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/NMCA-All-American-Recap_IMG002-700x338.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1037px) 100vw, 1037px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During qualifying, Pawuk led the field with a stout 8.05-second run at over 171 mph. Hot on his wheelie bars was a slew of Cobra Jet Mustangs and COPO Camaros fighting for the top spot. The only other Drag Pak doing battle during the NMCA All-Stars was Geoff Turk\u2019s record-breaking \u201cBlackbird\u201d Challenger, which is still the only Factory Stock competitor to run in the seven-second-zone at either an NMCA or NHRA event.
