Yes, the rains came, but luckily they weren\u2019t as bad as predicted.&nbsp;And even if they had been, the unique layout of the Kentucky Expo Center kept us warm and dry as over 600 collector cars crossed the block and found new owners.<\/p>\n<p>As you know, we bring our Dodge Thrill Ride show to many of the Mecum events and this one is unique in that our setup is totally INDOORS&#8230;except for the actual track itself. Even the cars came inside the convention center to drop off and pick up our guests in total comfort despite what Mother Nature decided to throw at us outdoors. Want to turn heads?&nbsp;Crank up a bunch of Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Hellcats inside a building! With that sound echoing off the walls, thousands of folks came over to see what was going on. They weren\u2019t disappointed.<\/p>\n<p>As for the auction itself, several interesting vehicles caught our eyes over the two-day event\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19421 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news-api\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1037\" height=\"497\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG001.jpg 1037w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG001-614x294.jpg 614w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG001-768x368.jpg 768w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG001-700x335.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1037px) 100vw, 1037px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/LS0918-331661\/2010-dodge-challenger-srt-8\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2010 Challenger SRT<\/a> was a beautiful example &#8211; a one-owner car with just 7,900 miles on it, plus the white interior really popped.&nbsp;That definitely helped pricing on this car: most \u201910 SRT vehicles are in the $25,000 range these days, but this one sold for $31,900.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19422 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news-api\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1037\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG002.jpg 1037w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG002-614x246.jpg 614w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG002-768x308.jpg 768w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG002-700x281.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1037px) 100vw, 1037px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m getting to be pretty jaded at these auctions, so for something to turn my head, it has to really stand out.&nbsp;This<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/LS0918-331521\/1978-dodge-d100\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> \u201978 Dodge D100 pickup<\/a> fit the bill; great lines, fantastic paint, a clean interior and a stout Mopar<sub>\u00ae<\/sub> 440-cubic-inch engine.&nbsp;It sold for only $22,550 and I\u2019d argue you couldn\u2019t build this truck for that little money.&nbsp;Someone got a trick custom for an excellent price.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19423 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news-api\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG003.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1037\" height=\"580\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG003.jpg 1037w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG003-585x327.jpg 585w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG003-768x430.jpg 768w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Mecum-Louisville-Recap_IMG003-700x392.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1037px) 100vw, 1037px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On my Instagram account (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thejohnhammer\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@TheJohnHammer<\/a>), I posted photos of a couple Jeep<sub>\u00ae<\/sub> Scramblers that were in the show.
