they bring passionate car people together at\nevery event, and Harrisburg was no different.&nbsp;Our view for this auction is exceptional: The cars up for bid literally\nroll right past our inside display on their way to the block, giving us a front\nrow view.&nbsp;As those cars made it past, we\nfound ourselves dreaming about which ones we\u2019d like to put in our personal\ngarages.&nbsp;Here are some that made us turn\nour heads\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/PA0819-379978\/1964-dodge-330-hemi-charger-dick-landy-afx\/\">1964 Dodge 330 HEMI<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Charger \u201cThe First Funny Car\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1399\" height=\"780\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news-api\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Mecum-Harrisburg-Recap_IMG001.png\" alt=\"1964 Dodge 330 Hemi Charger \u201cThe First Funny Car\u201d\" class=\"wp-image-26600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Mecum-Harrisburg-Recap_IMG001.png 1399w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Mecum-Harrisburg-Recap_IMG001-587x327.png 587w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Mecum-Harrisburg-Recap_IMG001-768x428.png 768w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Mecum-Harrisburg-Recap_IMG001-700x390.png 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1399px) 100vw, 1399px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly, I\u2019m flat-out shocked by this\none.&nbsp;In my preview story, I pointed this\ncar out.&nbsp;The excitement around it was\nHUGE.&nbsp;This is a serious piece of drag\nracing history: Dick Landy\u2019s first altered wheelbase drag car, the machine that\nliterally coined the term \u201cFunny Car.\u201d&nbsp;Mecum\u2019s experts valued it as between $500,000 and $600,000 dollars and\nno one seemed to think that was an outrageous number.&nbsp;But when it rolled across the block at No\nReserve, the car made it to $220,000&#8230;and that was where it sold.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
