Power Automotive Performance Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study\u2122, reversing&nbsp;last year&#8217;s finish order&nbsp;among mass-market brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dodge result is historic because it marks the first time a domestic brand has earned the top spot in both the APEAL Study and J.D. Power&#8217;s Initial Quality Study (IQS) in the same year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>America&#8217;s performance brand recorded a&nbsp;milestone&nbsp;first-place tie in the 34th running of IQS, spearheading an FCA surge in the influential industry rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;These ratings are consistent with our continuing focus on improving the ownership experience for our customers,&#8221; said&nbsp;Mark Champine, Head of Quality, FCA North America. &#8220;Our focus will not waver, nor will our efforts.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Redesigned this year to capture greater detail, APEAL rates the emotional bond between customers and 2020 model-year vehicles. This is determined by customer feedback on vehicle attributes from seating comfort to throttle response, during the first three months of ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The feedback is then aggregated on an overall 1,000-point APEAL index.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Dodge (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dodge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dodge<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramtrucks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Ram (opens in a new tab)\">Ram<\/a> are separated by one point with scores of 872 and 871, respectively. These results outdistance their nearest competitor by more than 13 points and far exceeds the study&#8217;s mass-market brand average of 838.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the third time in four years, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dodge.com\/challenger.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Dodge Challenger (opens in a new tab)\">Dodge Challenger<\/a>&nbsp;earns bragging rights in the highly competitive Midsize Sporty Car category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the acclaimed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramtrucks.com\/ram-1500.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Ram 1500 (opens in a new tab)\">Ram 1500<\/a>&nbsp;captures top spot in the high-volume Large Light-Duty Pickup segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holding down the second spots in the Large Car and Minivan categories, respectively, are the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Dodge Charger (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dodge.com\/charger.html\" target=\"_blank\">Dodge Charger<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chrysler.com\/pacifica.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Chrysler Pacifica (opens in a new tab)\">Chrysler Pacifica<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dodge.com\/durango.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Dodge Durango (opens in a new tab)\">Dodge Durango<\/a>&nbsp;ranks third among Upper Midsize SUVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Challenger, Charger and Durango also drove the Dodge brand&#8217;s first-place finish in this year&#8217;s IQS, which uses reported problems per 100 vehicles to assign quality scores for a model&#8217;s first three months in service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dodge brand&#8217;s total tied for lowest among 31 competitors, while Ram ranked third and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jeep.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Jeep\u00ae (opens in a new tab)\">Jeep<\/a><sub><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jeep.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Jeep\u00ae (opens in a new tab)\">\u00ae<\/a><\/sub> improved six spots to record its best-ever finish.
