In the early ’90s,\nwhen Jude Ogene was working toward his JD\/MBA at Georgetown\nUniversity, he needed to profile a company or product\nthat really stood out. And it was the simple strategy of the Neon \u201cHi\u201d campaign\nthat not only inspired the project, it ignited a lifelong passion for the\nupscale muscle of FCA vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI remembered thinking that in a business with\na lot of bean counters, the creatives were really winning the Neon campaign. I\ncouldn\u2019t help but think that these cars were being built to inspire people,\u201d\nsaid Ogene. \u201cBecause they sure did me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do his research on the marketing project, Ogene\nstopped by Koons Dodge in Tyson\u2019s Corner, Virginia, to check out the Neon. In passing,\nhe mentioned the class project to the Sales Manager. As fate, and\nabove-and-beyond service, would have it, the dealer offered to drive the car\nout to the school for Ogene\u2019s presentation so that everyone in the class could take\na test drive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was like a rollercoaster,\u201d said Ogene.\n\u201cPeople would get out of the car and get back in line to go again. I got an A\non the project, and Dodge got a lifelong fan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ogene also convinced his then-girlfriend to\nbuy a Neon, and he bought an Avenger, whom he named \u201cBuck,\u201d a name inspired by\nthe Ram\u2019s Head logo. According to Ogene, he and Buck had a pretty memorable\ntime together in grad school, accumulating A\u2019s in class, and points at the DMV.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After graduation, Ogene flipped from Dodge to\nChrysler, trading in Buck for a 300M, which was later traded in for a 300C. \u201cMan,\nI loved that car,\u201d Ogene recalled of the 300C. Apparently, others did too \u2013 it was\nstolen before it got its first oil change!

After a stint with an E60 M5, Ogene was back home behind\nthe wheel of a Charger SRT\u00ae<\/sup> 392, and today aspires to have a 2021 Charger SRT\nHellcat sitting in his driveway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m far removed from the young graduate\nstudent who fell hard for the Neon. A lot of things have changed in that time:\nmy hairline and my midsection, to mention a few. But one thing that has\nremained constant is my love and affection for FCA and its cars,\u201d said Ogene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the overall brand, Ogene offers profound words of encouragement: \u201cI don\u2019t think any other car company (not even Tesla) has such a singular, unambiguous vision or such a visceral, tangible connection with its customer base\u2026I choose to ride with y\u2019all until the wheels fall off.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
