The &#8217;70s were also a time of badass muscle cars and Dodge knocked it out of the park with their star muscle car, the Dodge Challenger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>October 22nd &#8211; October 24th is <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Barrett-Jackson's Fall Auction (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/events\/445\/barrett-jackson-fall-auction\" target=\"_blank\">Barrett-Jackson&#8217;s Fall Auction<\/a> and there is a beautiful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrett-jackson.com\/Events\/Event\/Details\/1970-DODGE-CHALLENGER-CUSTOM-HARDTOP-235001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"1970 Dodge Challenger Custom Hardtop (Lot #470) (opens in a new tab)\">1970 Dodge Challenger Custom Hardtop (Lot #470)<\/a> crossing the auction block at no reserve. This 1970 Challenger has been restored, but started life with a 340ci V8 engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The transmission is a period-correct heavy-duty A833 4-speed manual transmission with 4-inch input bearing. It has a Dana 60 posi-traction rear end with 3.54 gear ratio. It sits on 15-inch Rally wheels wrapped with new tires. All-new brakes have been installed, including emergency brake cables.
