You may have heard of this ride, it\u2019s known as \u201cReverence\u201d and has quite the internet following. If you\u2019re not afraid of being the center of attention, you can buy his car this week at Mecum and make some stories of your own.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1650\" height=\"845\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news-api\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG002.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-47111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG002.png 1650w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG002-576x295.png 576w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG002-768x393.png 768w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG002-992x508.png 992w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1650px) 100vw, 1650px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an 8,800-hour build, more than nineteen-and-a-half months,\u201d and you can tell it was time well spent by the incredible details on this machine.&nbsp;Rick tells us that while you can do a restomod by \u201cbolting a car together from a bunch of parts,\u201d he wanted to truly blend two iconic cars without going too far away from what they each represent.&nbsp;A self-proclaimed Mopar guy, he always loved the classic lines of the Charger, but he\u2019s also the owner of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Cleveland Power and Performance (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clevelandpap.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cleveland Power and Performance<\/a>, a shop that\u2019s become pretty famous for dismantling wrecked Dodge Challenger SRT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Hellcats and heritage Mopar vehicles.&nbsp;This was his opportunity to combine the two.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1500\" height=\"808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news-api\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG004.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-47107\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG004.png 1500w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG004-576x310.png 576w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG004-768x414.png 768w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG004-992x534.png 992w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The chassis is a 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and interestingly, the wheelbase was only a half inch off the \u201869 Charger.&nbsp;But when they started putting the body on the chassis, they realized they\u2019d have to do some cutting to make it all fit. Three-and-a-half inches came out of the cowl area to bring the greenhouse into the right place; all hand fabricated.&nbsp;It works beautifully and the proportions are spot on.&nbsp;\u201cYou\u2019ll never see the details behind the dash, but they\u2019re in there,\u201d and Rick points out that all of the creature comforts still work: the navigation, the 8.4 Uconnect<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, launch control, heated and cooled seats are all there just as if you were in a modern Challenger.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1656\" height=\"740\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news-api\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG003.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-47106\" srcset=\"https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG003.png 1656w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG003-576x257.png 576w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG003-768x343.png 768w, https:\/\/test.api.dodgegarage.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Reverence_IMG003-992x443.png 992w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1656px) 100vw, 1656px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The build sheet includes the supercharged HEMI<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> engine pumped up to almost 900 horsepower, Kooks exhaust, KW coilcovers and CW wheels. The body has been massaged in subtle but impressive ways; look at how the bumpers are frenched into the bodyline. The hood is handmade and the scoop is fully functional, similar to the production Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and SRT Hellcat Redeye. It\u2019s been in <i>Hot Rod Magazine<\/i> and in both PPG and Snap-On calendars. It won Builders Choice at the Syracuse Nationals and was Best In Category at the Detroit Autorama.
