Simpson is just 18 years old but comes from a long line of experience, beginning with his great-grandfather who raced motorcycles. His grandfather won numerous titles and James&#8217; father also raced in a number of categories. Bathurst in April will be the first round for James and he\u2019s looking forward to the challenge, despite still getting used to some of the obstacles that come with driving a new vehicle. \u201cRight-hand to left-hand-drive, front-wheel to rear-wheel-drive, it\u2019ll be pretty interesting, but will be a lot of fun,\u201d he said. He\u2019s familiar with some of the competition, having already raced against both Jett Johnson and Nash Morris. Simpson says he\u2019d been considering a variety of different classes but fell in love with watching Trans Am.
