A.J. Berge purchased the car in 2009 and won a handful of races, and two championships, behind the wheel before he sold it. The next owner won a championship with it, too, before moving on and the vehicle ended up back with Berge. That\u2019s when things got interesting. Starting with a billet 426-cubic-inch Gen III HEMI<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> engine from Berge\u2019s own company, Hemituner Performance, he decided to turn his Charger into a record-setter. Berge added a custom set of headers from American Racing Headers and the same supercharger that\u2019s used on the Dodge Drag Pak Challengers provided by Whipple Superchargers, then paired it all with a TH400 and torque converter that transfers power through a carbon-fiber driveshaft to the billet. The 22-pound boost helps the engine generate almost 1,400 horsepower that runs a 7.67 at 179 MPH in the 1\/4-mile.
