That super sport utility vehicle features a fully custom rear-wheel-drive drivetrain layout, so while in the shop, I asked whether the Durango that his team is building came with the original drivetrain. For those who don\u2019t recall, this Durango was provided to Bailey after being campaigned by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news\/article\/events\/2019\/05\/speed-trap-laying-down-the-law-at-one-lap.html\">DodgeGarage writer David Hakim in the One Lap of America event<\/a> \u2013 back when it was called the SRT Pursuit Concept. He took me into a storage garage off of the side of the main shop, where he showed me the 1970 Dodge A-100 shown here. Right now, this vintage van is being used to store many of the parts removed from the Durango, including all of the interior parts, but his plan is to install a long list of components from the Durango SRT Pursuit Concept into this classic Dodge van.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dodge A-100 pickup holds a famous place in motorsports history, with Bill Maverick Golden doing quarter-mile wheelstands with the legendary Lil Red Wagon for decades. That classic pickup had a supercharged HEMI<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> engine mounted in the bed, with the weight located near the rear axle for the best possible wheelstanding action.
