The 2023 event will represent the eighth edition of Roadkill Nights, which has evolved from humble beginnings in a stadium parking lot to its current form with a massive footprint that draws tens of thousands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRoadkill Nights just continues to evolve and get better each\nyear, and we knew we were going to run it back next year, so we thought, \u2018Why\nwait?\u2019 We\u2019re announcing right now that our horsepower circus will be coming to\ntown in 2023,\u201d said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief executive officer \u2013\nStellantis. &#8220;Next year, Dodge Direct Connection Grudge Race competitors\nwill have at the heart of their build projects new Direct Connection HurriCrate\nengines. The 2023 Grudge\nRace will feature pairs of competitors working together to create a Dodge or\nPlymouth drag machine using a new Direct Connection HurriCrate Series engine.\nThe HurriCrate series of engines from Direct Connection was announced today in\nconjunction with the opening of the Dodge brand\u2019s exhibit at the 2022 Specialty\nEquipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nov. 1-4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2023 Dodge Direct Connection Grudge Race will feature an\nexperienced drag racer and online automotive builder (The Mentor) working\ntogether with a \u201crookie\u201d online builder\/racer lacking previous drag-racing\nexperience (The Prot\u00e9g\u00e9). The Mentor will \u201cschool\u201d The Prot\u00e9g\u00e9 on building,\ntuning and testing their build project before The Prot\u00e9g\u00e9 ultimately battles it\nout on the drag strip for the Direct Connection Grudge Race crown during the\nRoadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event.
