With his grandsons carrying on the drag racing tradition, and Herb\u2019s never-ending passion for cars and the community, there\u2019s no slowing him down. From being an early adopter of GEN III HEMI<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> V8 engine swaps into vintage Mopar<sub>\u00ae<\/sub> vehicles, to being a guest speaker at numerous car enthusiast events across the country, to working with his son, Michael, and being an integral part of the awesome <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dodgegarage.com\/news\/article\/gallery\/2022\/05\/the-magnificent-mccandless-collection.html\">The McCandless Collection<\/a>, Herb doesn\u2019t know how to slow down. He may say, \u201cI don\u2019t do nothing very well,\u201d but for many decades, Herb McCandless has helped thousands of Mopar street enthusiasts and grassroots drag racers make their cars faster. Herb McCandless might be approaching 80 years of age, but don\u2019t look for him to simply fade away.
