Students\nfrom three local schools \u2013 Lincoln Tech Denver, Wyotech and Arapahoe Community\nCollege \u2013 will participate in a special Mopar\u00ae<\/sub> Career Automotive Program (CAP)\ncareer networking event this Friday (July 14) at Bandimere Speedway as part of\nthe final Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals drag races. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MOPAR CAP\npartners with 100 colleges and technical schools throughout the nation in a curriculum\nto guide students into the automotive industry in a variety of applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By\nincorporating the MOPAR CAP curriculum, schools give students the ability to\nturn their passion for automotive activities into a career and assist them in\ngaining training and fundamental knowledge needed to work with some of the\nhottest vehicles in the industry from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, FIAT and Alfa\nRomeo brands. Giving students a competitive edge, MOPAR CAP combines hands-on\nexperience and classroom instruction from certified educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nFriday at Bandimere Speedway, the attendees will hear from Mopar CAP leadership\nteam, network with local Stellantis dealers looking to hire qualified\ncandidates to work in their store and enjoy lunch and trivia in the Tony\nStewart Racing Hospitality area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\naddition to the MOPAR CAP networking this Friday, students also will have the\nopportunity to meet and talk with NHRA drag racing stars Leah Pruett and Matt\nHagan of Tony Stewart Racing. Pruett, who started her drag racing career at\nBandimere Speedway at age 8, is the defending Top Fuel champion at the Dodge\nPower Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals and also captured the last NHRA event at\nNorwalk, Ohio, last month. Hagan, the current NHRA Funny Car point leader, is a\nthree-time NHRA Camping World Champion and has already scored three 2023 NHRA\nnational event wins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Stellantis brand \u2013 Dodge and Mopar — has sponsored the\nMile-High Nationals since 1989, with the 2023 edition marking 35 years of\npartnership with the NHRA and the Bandimere family, owners of Bandimere\nSpeedway for 65 years. This year will mark the final NHRA national event at\nBandimere Speedway, as the track will close at the conclusion of the 2023\nracing season.\n\nAction for the 2023\nDodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway begins on\nFriday, July 14, with two nitro qualifying rounds set for 4:30 p.m. MDT and 8\np.m. MDT. Saturday\u2019s nitro qualification rounds are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. MDT\nand 7 p.m. MDT.
