The Dodge brand doesn\u2019t have any big debuts at the 2023 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but the display is still a popular destination for lovers of high-performance vehicles. For many attendees, the 2023 Detroit show marks the first chance to see the Dodge Challenger SRT\u00ae<\/sup> Demon 170 in person, but this is just one flavor of Mopar\u00ae<\/sub> muscle at NAIAS. The 1,025-horsepower supercharged muscle car is joined by the Charger Daytona SRT Banshee, showcasing the brand\u2019s heavy hitters past and present in the same area, while a collection of Hornets, a Durango and a Last Call Charger come together to show what Dodge is all about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dodge display is located on the edge of the Stellantis\narea closest to the main entrance, and as spectators pour through those doors,\nthey are greeted by a trio of new Hornets. There is a white Hornet R\/T GLH\nConcept, a red R\/T and a blue GT; all of which are open and available for\nexploration. For the Hornet GT and R\/T, this is a chance for attendees to sit\nin and experience the new production models while the GLH shows what the brand\nis working on in terms of making more performance-focused examples of the\npopular compact SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the right of the Hornet area is a turntable that carries\nthe 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee EV Concept, showing at the NAIAS for\nthe first time in stunning deep metallic red. When the all-electric muscle car\nwas on display at the Detroit show last year, it was dark metallic gray, but\nthis year, it is sure to draw even more attention in the brilliant red paint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behind the Charger Daytona are a pair of modern muscle cars,\nincluding the 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee Widebody in Plum Crazy and the\nalready-legendary Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Challenger SRT Demon 170 is the first American production road car to pack more than a thousand horsepower from a gasoline engine while also being the quickest production road car in the world \u2013 sprinting down the quarter-mile in the high-8-second range. At the Detroit Auto Show, the SRT Demon 170 on display is wearing the carbon fiber wheels with massive Mickey Thompson drag radials out back and a parachute, which is another first for a production car. The parachute is a post-title option that owners can order after they take delivery by calling the Dodge\/\/SRT Concierge at 800-998-1110 along with the rest of the available Direct Connection parts and personalized items<\/a>, but it is still the first parachute offered by an automaker for a production road car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many people, this is their first chance to see the 1,025-horsepower Challenger SRT Demon 170 in person. And with only 1,000 units slated for production, the odds are good that this will be the only chance for many of the attendees to see a 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee in person. This will also give folks a chance to see the modern Challenger and Charger together in Last Call form, making for a cool and rare photo opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, nestled between the trio of muscle cars and the trio of compact SUVs is a Durango SRT 392, which will be offered for the 2024 model year alongside the Hornet \u2013 providing a unique contrast of hybrid and V8 performance that is unrivaled by any of the competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
