Mopar evolved into an umbrella term for various brands such as Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge. Over the years, the automotive landscape changed, with discontinuations like DeSoto in the 1960s and Plymouth in the early 2000s, and the separation of Ram from Dodge in 2009. Despite automotive landscape changes over the decades since, Mopar is synonymous with American muscle.
