While Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions have events around the United States, their crown jewel is the annual event in Scottsdale, Arizona. For 2024, the Scottsdale event is being held January 20-28 and during the event (which actually kicked off on the 19th<\/sup> with a concert by Foreigner and Night Ranger), there will be nearly 100 Dodge products offered for sale to the highest bidder \u2013 ranging from a 1923 Dodge Brothers Custom Touring Sedan to the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT\u00ae<\/sup> Demon 170.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Barrett-Jackson website makes it easy to search the docket for specific vehicles at a given event, so we searched for Dodge and found almost a hundred results. Of those, there are currently 37 Challengers and 16 Chargers headed for the Scottsdale auction block, with a nice spread of classic and modern muscle cars in that mix. Those current nameplates are joined by a wide variety of other Dodge models from the past hundred years, including Polara, Royal Lancer, Monaco, Coronet, Super Bee, Dart, Stealth, Viper, Ramcharger, several different Dodge trucks including the original Power Wagon and even a Winnebago motorhome with a Dodge 318 engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining those Dodge brand models is a lineup of more than 50 Plymouth models, including several HEMI\u00ae<\/sup> ‘Cudas \u2013 one of which was owned by Nicholas Cage \u2013 and four Superbirds with HEMI engine power. Other Plymouth nameplates represented at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction include Road Runner, Duster, Prowler, Satellite, GTX, Savoy, Trailduster and Fury, creating a very diverse model within this muscle-heavy vintage brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Classic Dodge Muscle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Challenger and Charger are the most numerous classic Dodge muscle cars on the docket for the 2024 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction. Every classic Challenger in the Scottsdale lineup right now is from either the 1970 or 1971 model year, but there is more variation in model year among the Chargers. The majority of the classic Chargers are from the uber-popular second generation, but there are also some examples of third-generation cars and there is one first-generation Charger \u2013 an original 1966 HEMI engine-powered car \u2013 slated for the upcoming auction. Of the classic Challengers and Chargers scheduled to be sold at the Scottsdale event, the vast majority of them are powered by either a 440-cubic-inch big block or a 426-cubic-inch HEMI engine, with a very small block, 383 and modern drivetrain builds in the mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of those classic Dodge Chargers packing modern power is a custom 1970 model with Hellephant power<\/a>. This car, painted Destroyer Gray, has been all over the internet thanks to the fact that it features one of the 100 original 1,000-horsepower Hellephant crate engines, but it is far more than just a classic with an engine swap. This Charger features custom work inside and out, with modern suspension and braking components working with the modern drivetrain to yield incredible performance in a beautiful package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those classic Dodge muscle car fans who prefer stock style, the Frank Tiegs Collection is offering a trio of classic beauties at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale, including numbers-matching examples of a 1970 Charger R\/T with a 426 HEMI<\/a>, a 1970 Challenger R\/T with a 440 Six-Pack<\/a> and a 1971 Challenger R\/T with a 426 HEMI<\/a> \u2013 all of which are in absolutely pristine condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modern Dodge Muscle and the Mighty Viper<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The list of the modern Dodge muscle cars headed to the auction block at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale event begins with a handful of Last Call Chargers, including a couple SRT Hellcats, a few Redeyes and a limited-edition Super Bee. There are also some fresh 2021 and 2022 model year Chargers, for those shoppers who are more concerned with the supercharged V8 and less concerned about having a final model year car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking to buy a modern Dodge Challenger, you have a pool of more than 20 cars from which to pick in Scottsdale. A few of those come from early in the modern era, including a 2009 SRT-8 and a 2011 Drag Pak, most of them come from the 2015-2023 model years. This includes a Black Ghost, a Swinger, an array of SRT Hellcat, Redeye and Super Stock models in different colors, seven examples of the 2018 SRT Demon and four examples of the 1,025-horsepower 2023 SRT Demon 170.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two of those SRT Demons \u2013 one 2018 model<\/a> and one 2023 model<\/a> \u2013 are being sold as a unit by professional wrestling legend Bill Goldberg. These two modern Dodge SRT Demons are finished in the same Pitch Black paint and they have matching serial numbers \u2013 1083 \u2013 so this is a rare chance for someone to own a pair of VIN-matched 2018 and 2023 SRT Demon models. Needless to say, the provenance of being owned by collector Bill Goldberg will add to the future collector\u2019s value, making these two cars one of the hottest combos of the upcoming Barrett-Jackson event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMany factors play into collectability with a vehicle\u2019s provenance and production number chief among them,\u201d said Jackson. \u201cAs limited-edition builds, the 2023 Demon 170 and 2018 Demon being auctioned as a pair are especially desirable. Both are owned by WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg, have low mileage and share the same last VIN number. These two Demons also represent the end of a production era for Dodge\u2019s gas-powered muscle cars. These are incredibly popular among collectors and have a bonus of being both road and track ready for the next owner.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, there are eight examples of the Dodge Viper headed to auction in Scottsdale, starting with a 1996 RT\/10 Roadster and traveling forward through the history of the American supercar. There is a 1996 GTS Coupe, a 2002 RT\/10 Convertible, a supercharged 2004 SRT-10 Convertible, a couple 2008 models, a 2014 GTS and a 2017 ACR Extreme<\/a>, regarded by many to be one of the greatest American performance cars that has ever graced a street or a race track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
